Chick's Sporting Goods Laguna Hills: Don't go there 2/12/07 I bought $250 Flow Snowboard bindings from Salesperson. Put them on my board and drove to Lake Tahoe. The Right binding had a small piece missing that was crucial to them working. I only found this out after paying $75 a piece for lift tickets. I drove around with my wife looking for parts but nobody carried them. So I had to buy new bindings. I wasted 4 Hours of my day because someone at Chick's gave me defective bindings. Plus I had to dish out money for new Bindings. 2/18/07 I did not have my receipt for the bindings when I got home so I called Chick's and after explaining what had happened, asked for the manager. The manager was not available but the girl told me to come down and she was sure it would be taken care of. When I get to the store I am told by the manager that I can only get store credit, but I could come back when the supervisor was there. I asked the "manager" why she didn't answer the phone when I called she said she didn't know and there are a lot of managers. Despite having my bank statement, totals of my purchase, the bindings in the box and knowledge of who sold me the bindings the manager could offer me no assistance. In total Chick's cost me $50 in gas, $150 in lift tickets, and 6 hours of my time without resolving the problem fairly or efficiently. Don't go to Chick's in Laguna Hills CA because from the purchase to resolution of the problem there was no oversight and very poor management if you can call it that. |
